This past Thursday I had to travel into the “big city” for some training. I was a little nervous because I hate driving in the city and had no idea where I was going. I was told that I would be training in the board room at one of the government offices. Which to me means that I need to dress extra conservatively. I opted for a very boring outfit.
I went with a simple grey blazer from Dynamite. It is long, so it covers a good portion of the bum. I really like the cut of it. The fabric is also slightly stretchy, so it was comfortable enough for the long car ride there and back, and also have to sit still for the majority of the day. The pants are also from Dynamite. I love this slim cut and they also have a bit of stretch. I wear them year-round.
To keep things “Spring-y” I chose a light white chiffon blouse, and pastel pink flats. Both the blouse and flats are from Forever 21. I wear this blouse once a week, every single week. It goes with everything and looks great with almost any blazer (except the cropped ones) and by itself.
For the accessories, I kept things simple with a long, gold pendant necklace from Dynamite. This is another repeat offender in my wardrobe. It goes with so much and adds a little sparkle to my more conservative outfits. The purse is from Call it Spring. It is my “go-to” for any business meeting or event. It is structured and classy and the colours go with most of my spring outfits.
