Last Thursday I had the best Girls Night Out ever. Three friends and I went to see a Spice Girls tribute band, and they did not disappoint! The whole thing was like a big 90’s dance party and I definitely felt like I was re-living my childhood. We made our own Girl Power shirts which turned out great!
I chose to pair my homemade t-shirt with some classic high-waisted “mom jeans”. This was the first time I’ve ever worn the high-waist trend and I really liked it! No, I did not cut the hems off my jeans, they came like that. I bought them from Forever 21. They are super comfortable with lots of stretch!
To keep the look more girlie and less “rocker chick”, I went with a pale pink leather jacket from Dynamite. Even though there is still lots of snow on the ground, it kept me warm enough. There is knitted panels down the sides and under the sleeves so the jacket isn’t completely “leather”. The panels make it more breathable and stretchy. Perfect for dancing the night away.
The accessories and shoes I chose to go a bit edgy with. I chose long black tassel earrings which are way out of my comfort zone. I always thought that long earrings looked best with long hair. But I am starting to like how they look with my short hair. I am almost not used to wearing choker necklaces. They feel weird and I always think that they accentuate my double chin, but in order to channel the 90’s vibes, I went for it.
Block heel boots are something I almost never wear either, but I feel they went well with the overall look that I was going for, and added a bit of sass. They are from Call It Spring.
These girls are amazing and I am so lucky that I got to experience this with them! I would also like to thank them for making sure I got home safely after all the wine I consumed!
