Happy Easter! Happy April fools! I am assuming everyone is having coffee right about now while your children are running around the house on a sugar bender. No? Well thats how Easter happens in our house. The kids get up early, find all the eggs, eat lots of chocolate and then it’s time to get ready for church. I wrote this post ahead of time because not only are we doing that, I am also hosting my very first Easter family supper. I am terrified. I decided to menu plan and do my shopping ahead of time in the hopes of feeling more confident in my ability to host a family supper. So, when shopping I do dress for comfort, and more often than not I go without make-up. Today though I had my new hair to show off so I figured I better look less homeless than normal.
Not going to lie, I was a little nervous about going out with my new hair. My mother posted a picture of me from grade 2 when I had a very similar hair cut, which made me self conscious about this new style that I actually really liked. How/Why do moms do that? As my amazing hair stylist put it “Be your own version of beautiful.” Wise words to live by. I love it.
The top is very comfortable, stretchy, and my go-to print of course – stripes. I found it at Wall-Mart for $4.00 on clearance, shopping with my best friend Jill. I have so much fun shopping with her and love that we bought a few matching items to wear. The pink jeans are from Suzy Shier. They are a bit shorter that I normally wear but I like how they show off my favourite ankle boots from Call it Spring.
The purse is also from Call it Spring, and I love how it goes with almost any outfit. Its really big so its great for putting snacks for church in it. The necklace was a birthday gift from my sister-in-law, and I love how versatile this piece is too.
I am going to keep this post short and sweet. Happy Shopping!
